Springside Cottage is our much loved family holiday cottage, situated down a quiet country lane in the rural hamlet of Newhall Green, just two miles from the spectacular North Cornish coast. This well equipped traditional Cornish Quarryman's cottage, which retains much of its original charm, sleeps four adults comfortably  in two bedrooms and benefits from off-road parking for several cars and a large private garden overlooking farmland.

There is plenty to see and do for all ages within just a short drive of the cottage, local attractions at Bodmin, including Bodmin Jail and Pencarrow House, Port Isaac, and Wadebridge are all less than 12 miles, and Padstow, Newquay and Bude and the Eden Project are about 30 minutes away.

And of course this area of Cornwall is renowned  for the excellent food available in one of the many local restaurants and pubs. The only difficulty is choosing which one to go to!

 Of the many beautiful beaches in North Cornwall, the closest to the cottage are Trebarwith Strand, Polzeath and Daymer Bay, all within a 10 minute drive.  There are several excellent golf courses including Bowood Park, St Kew and St Enodoc nearby and other activities available locally such as kayaking, horse riding, or cycle along the Camel Trail. If you enjoy walking Camelford is one of the best locations from which you can access Bodmin Moor, or maybe walk from Polzeath or Daymer Bay along the footpath to Rock and take the ferry to Padstow for a well earned lunch before the return journey. There many other fantastic walks along the Coastal Path, or explore Helland Barton Woods located almost on the doorstep of the cottage.

At the end of the day it is a delight to return to the peace and tranquility of Springside, for a barbecue in the garden in the Summer, or during colder months, enjoy a cosy evening in front of the woodburner.
